Prince of Wales Stakes Betting News |

Duke of Marmalade may be the hot favourite in the Royal Ascot betting for the Prince of Wales Stakes but Ask has been supported each-way. It could be a fair-sized field as at the time of writing there were 18 horses entered at the penultimate declaration stage. Trainer Michael Stoute is still not certain to run Ask and he would like to see a bit of rain. The weather forecast suggests that it is possible that his prayers will be answered and recent rain has left the Royal Ascot track on the soft side of good. The Prince of Wales's Stakes is a 1m2f, Group 1 race and that is the trip Ask won over when scoring on his seasonal reappearance at Sandown in a Group 3. Ask, although an experienced five-year-old, has the profile of a typically progressive Sir Michael Stoute horse. The yard are in flying form, knocking in the winners all over the place and having saddled the runner-up in The Epsom Derby. The son of Sadler's Wells certainly looks a tempting each-way proposition in the Royal Ascot betting. Aidan
O'Brien's Duke of Marmalade, on a Group 1 hat-trick, is a worthy favourite
but his abilities have certainly been factored into the
Royal Ascot betting odds.
